why join us on this tour?

Because we don't just shlep you around from place to place for photo-ops.

You’ll EXPERIENCE INDIA UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL for a trip you will never forget!

And what really sets us apart from other trips is: our commitment to MINDFULNESS.

Mindfulness techniques are thousands of years old. Now scientific research is showing that being mindful

can bring more clarity, focus, ease, and joy into your life.

On this trip, Dr. Dina Wyshogrod, licensed clinical psychologist and certified mindfulness teacher, will guide you through a gentle and thorough experience of mindfulness using techniques derived from the world-renowned Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) curriculum that was developed at the Center for Mindfulness (CFM) in the United States, where she trained and was certified. Her expertise will be combined with that of co-leader Rachelle Oseran, an experienced Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting (MBCP) instructor and certified yoga and Pilates instructor.

Explore for yourself how mindfulness can enhance both the trip and your life back home.
This is one gift you'll  keep giving yourself for the rest of your life.

This itinerary is one of our richest.  Come experience it with us:

  • Experience the color, vibrancy and rich heritage of Rajasthan, India’s flamboyant desert province

  • Stay in luxurious lodgings where local rajahs and provincial rulers once lounged.

  • Learn about social action initiatives empowering women to lift themselves and their communities
out of poverty and into the 21st century.

  • Marvel at India’s eye-popping artistry -- painting, mosaic, inlay, stone, gems, and textiles.

  • Explore the sweeping wisdom of three powerful spiritual traditions:  Sikhism, Buddhism, and Hinduism.

  • Visit the Golden Temple of the Sikhs in Amritsar and experience, first-hand, their commitment to hospitality:
they feed 150,000 (!) and house up to 30,000 (!) people, every day, all free of charge.

  • Visit McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala, the adoptive home town of the Dalai Lama, one of the world’s leading spiritual teachers.

  • Visit institutions devoted to preserving Tibetan identity and craftsmanship and to raising
a thriving new generation of Tibetan youngsters.

  • Enjoy the beauty of nature on walks through the multi-hued sweeps of Rajasthan’s desert,
and through the foothills of the Himalayas with glorious snow-covered mountains as your backdrop.

  • Experience home hospitality as guests of an urban family and in an Indian village where we'll enjoy
an evening of delicious food, music and dancing.

  • Celebrate Shabbat in beautiful, elegant surroundings.  Explore the connections between mindfulness
and our own ancient spiritual tradition.

  • Enjoy plenty of time to meander around on your own, soaking up the local color,
savoring a leisurely cup of chai, chatting with locals, and simply unwinding.

  • Enjoy many chances to shop for beautiful mementos of your trip for yourself, your friends and family.

  • Explore the power of mindfulness.  Discover how mindfulness can empower you both during the trip
and long after you’ve returned home.  Learn a skill that can truly enhance your life.
